This event has passed.
Open to all eligible Judo Queensland members. This is also an ideal opportunity for less experienced players to compete against people from other clubs in their own weight and age categories to gain valuable competition knowledge and competence.
Mat Areas
2 mat areas will be used throughout the day.
Weigh-in
Weigh-in Friday night 5-7pm, remote weigh-ins available on enquiry.
Weigh-in on the day allowed - 7:00am to 8:00am (Mons, Junior Boys and Girls, Senior Boys and Girls)
Weigh-in for all other weight divisions will be from 10:00am-10:30am.
Changes to weight divisions will be allowed at time of weigh-in.
If you are unable to weigh-in at this time please contact the Competition Administrator on paul.debrincat@judoqueensland.org.au prior to the event.
Competition
Boys and Girls divisions will kick off at 8:30am.
Men and Women's divisions will kick off at approximately 11am.
Team Events may be organised by demand on the day.
Registration fee $30 for competition
Late fees ($45 and $15 for extra) apply after Tuesday 26th.
Camp
The Annual Training Camp is $15 and includes Saturday night dinner/dessert and Sunday morning breakfast. You do not need to be a judoka to camp, but please register so we can cater. Bring sleeping gear to camp on the mats.
Training
The State Training is $10 for a single session or $15 for both. You must be JA affiliated to attend.
Training 1 begins immediately after the competition and will run for 1.5hours.
Training 2 begins at 8:30am Sunday and the final session will be from 11:00am-1:00pm
Gi Requirements
All players competing in the Regional Shiai Championship must as a minimum wear a white judo gi.
Notes
As per the Judo Queensland Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Event Administrator at xavier.barker@judoqueensland.org.au and the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enters the mat to compete.
