The Judo Qld Referee Committee is pleased to invite you for the first 2025 IJF New Rules Update Seminar.

Significant rule changes were recently announced during the IJF seminar in Istanbul and will be implemented from January 2025. To prepare QLD players, coaches, and referees for upcoming competitions, the Judo QLD Referee Commission has scheduled the following Rules Explanation Seminars:

• 1 Feb 2025 (Saturday): Shin Gi Tai Judo Club at 03:00 PM

• 8 Feb 2025 (Saturday): Shin Gi Tai Judo Club at 03:00 PM

We will be covering:

• Introduction of Yuko Score
• Head Defense Clarification (plus head diving)
• Gripping under the belt
• Kumi Kata (conventional and not conventional)
• Bear Hug
• Stepping vs Pushing Out
• Kansetsu Waza while in Tatchi Waza
• Reverse Seoi Nage
• Osaekomi clarifications (control and variations)
