Dear Athlete

Listed below is all the information you are require to complete to be considered for selection as a member of the 2025 Queensland Judo Team. The Australian National Championships will be held at the Gold Coast from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th June.

It is important that all athletes complete nominations for the Queensland Judo State team and are current members of Judo QLD to participate in state training sessions and be considered for seletion into the Australian National Championships.

Information on State training times, locations and relevant competitions will be advertised via social media and emails.

Note: 

Electronic payment must be completed as part of this online nomination, to eligible for State Team selection!

A State Team Administration fee of $100 is added once to each athlete and is non refundable!

Team Selection Criteria and State Squad Training

Judo Queensland is responsible for entering its players in the Judo Australia National Championships. The Judo Queensland Board is the ultimate decision making body for JQ and under this policy it delegates its authority to select the team to the Selectors.
 

The State Team Selectors are: State Team Manager and Head Coaches.

The Selectors make selection decisions under advice of the Head coaches with reference to criteria including the JQ performance tracking system.

The Selectors have the right to exercise discretion and judgment on any selection, and particularly where exceptions to the selection policy or matters not fully covered by the selection policy are applicable in a particular case.
