Call for Volunteers - Queensland International Open

Judo Queensland, in collaboration with Judo Australia, is excited to announce an opportunity for our dedicated community members to get involved and support our upcoming events.

We are seeking volunteers for the 2024 Judo Australia Schools Championship and the 2024 Queensland International Open, which will take place at Chandler Arena from September 20th to September 22nd.

Your assistance is vital, and we require volunteers primarily for the following key areas:

Male and Female Weigh-Ins: We need volunteers for the weigh-ins scheduled for Friday, September 20th, and Saturday, September 21st.

Back of House Support: This role involves marshalling athletes to their respective mats and ensuring that judogi (uniforms) are the correct sizes. Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to help make these events run smoothly.

We also want to highlight that volunteering at these events can contribute to your journey toward Dan grade promotions. This opportunity is eligible for earning Service Points towards Dan Grades under the Judo Australia Grading Pathway, classified as Level A Events (Page 95).
