  1. The venue address, address for the Hub is: Screen Queensland studios, 45 Gosport St Hemmant QLD  4174 Brisbane,  Located in the "Extra specialist" studio which is the studio on the right, side when viewed from the street there is ample signage to indicate it. Hub Training is aimed at all commiteed, dedicated, competitive Judoka, looking towards training and striving to compete in the next two Olympic cycles for Australia.
  2. Gavin Kelly Hub Coach will be conducting an assessment of all young potential Judo athletes and making an offer of becoming a Judo Australia Hub athlete, and providing them with an Athletes agreement,  which outlines the commitment required by the selected Athletes.
  3.  Power point about Hub  and, its intention, program etc. please head to www.judoqueensland.org.au then Judo Recourses, State Team Hub PowerpointAll Qld Clubs it is suggested that you print this powerpoint document explaing Hub, and display in your Dojo. Information for future potential athletes.  Power point Link below also for ease for Clubs to print out.
  4. The Hub commences this Friday 6 November 2020  at 7pm until 9pm and will run every friday night,  until the 18th December 2020.   By December 18, a start date of Hub training will be promoted for 2021.
  5. Commitment and expectations required.  This is covered in the Athletes agreement for Hub athletes.  Head Coach Gavin Kelly will offer athletes an agreement after he has assessed Judoka at training the first few trainings.
  6. The Hub will run every friday night and Hub Athletes will be expected to be there every friday night. The Hub will not be called off because of state training, and in reality if we are trying to produce strong Athletes ready for the transition to International representation they should be able to do both sessions (Hub and State Squad Training. The Hub will provide a consistent, planned, graduated approach to improving the young Judo Athletes of Queensland.
  7.  Gavin Kelly has previously stated he encourages club coaches to come along and watch what we are going to provide coach education, however they have to understand they are there only to observe, and support their Athletes not interfere with what we are working towards.
  8. NQ support and plans, we may be able to host them with families when they travel down, this is why the Hubs have started as a place to get the young Athletes working on a similar plan across the country with the hope of providing an easier path to a breakthrough performance which results in them commencing an International career. I have previously stated my willingness to occasionally travel up North to run a number of training seminars for young Athletes and their coaches, however this is also dependent on funding for these trips to be identified. I like the idea of hosting young Athletes from North Queensland, and they are certainly encouraged to come down to the Hub however I think this is more a question for Queensland Judo than the Hub, though we are willing to play our part.

Thank you everyone, this Invitation and explanation of the Hub was written by Gavin Kelly, and supported by Chair of Judo Qld Paul Nelson.   Club Sensei's, and Administrators please pass this invitation on to all of your eligible Hub athletes, you know who they are, ready for this weeks training.
