The Queensland governmane has advised that it has some great news for Queensland sport and recreation clubs! Round 2 of  Active Clubs Kickstart is now open. 

Round 1 saw us provide more than 3,800 sport and active recreation organisations with $7.6 million in funding to support their activities and encourage Queenslanders to return to play.

If your club missed out in Round 1 and needs a hand returning to play, this program can assist.

Active Clubs Kickstart is part of the Sport and Recreation COVID SAFE Restart Plan and provides funding of $2,000 to assist not-for-profit local and regional sport and active recreation organisations re-establish their operations in a COVID-safe environment.

Funding is available for equipment, training and operational expenses to help Queenslanders return to the activities they love!

Applications for Round 2 is open from Monday 12 April and will close on Wednesday 5 May.

If you have an outstanding acquittal / milestone with the Department from a previous funding program this may make you ineligible for financial assistance under Active Club Kickstart.  Please contact your local Sport & Recreation Office to discuss.

Please note:  COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart Round 2 requires all applicants to carefully check the details of their application for accuracy, incorrect applications, including incorrect bank account details*, will be deemed ineligible. 
This includes where the organisation’s incorporated name, Australian Business Number (ABN) name and  bank account name do not match. Section 12 pages 6-7 in the Guidelines provide specific instructions and details relating this to aspect.
